TPC Las Vegas
TPC Las Vegas is the only golf course in Las Vegas that hosts a PGA Tour event that the public can play. Many of the holes have trenches that resemble the landscape found on the moon. Inhabited by reptiles with no shoulders and animals that consider breeding a game, this is the perfect land for a desert golf course. Players will have a tough time finding golf balls on the back nine unless they have repelling equipment.
TPC Las Vegas is always in great condition, you will find the greens to be lighting fast and they have lots of undulations. You had better bring your “A” putting game if you expect to score well on this golf course. The best way to play this golf course is to aim for the middle of the greens. If you hit towards the edges you might find yourself facing a difficult chip to a fast green.
Many of the holes on this golf course require forced carries over desert and arroyo areas. Don’t let the visual size of the fairways fool you, these fairways are generous. Finding the fairway is only half of the battle here, you will need to play accurate iron shots to find the greens.
Like all of the TPC golf courses around the country TPC Las Vegas strives to give players and experience that can be found no where else. The golf course is in great condition and they will even provide a caddy to accompany your group and give you some local knowledge, this is a good idea if you have never played here before.
TPC Las Vegas is located near Summerlin in the Northwest section of Las Vegas. Just a short 20 minute drive from the strip this is certainly a golf course that should be on your must play list.
